In the immortal words of Rolf, I present the latest salvage effort from the enamel coated depths of the past, this time in the form of some 15mm Peter Pig armour. I found these in a box at the weekend and thought they'd be perfect for my IABSM 5th DCLI project, together with the figures that I've now accumulated using my sister's generous birthday present voucher.
In case you were unable to sperate the toxic paint stripper goo from the actual tanks, they're stowage laden M4A2 Shermans from the US range. The 5th DCLI had armour support from Sherman III's of the 4/7th Dragoon Guards in the advance to the Rhine, so these are perfect for the job. I just have to seperate the caustic gloop from the models and give them a good scrub up, to be able to re-assemble them as a very useful support unit.
