I now have my brand new box of Imperial Scouts for Star Wars Legion but, as there are only seven of them, I thought I'd bulk out the unit with some additional figures. I considered ordering a second box set and then swapping some arms and heads about to make them different, but the price tag put me off for what is a side line project. Instead, I took a punt on some resin 3D printed figures that were half the price of the FFG ones, with some good poses and some additional weaponry to give the unit a bit more punch. I'm not sure what they will be like or even if they're any good but they look like nice sculpts from the photo?
Welcome to my blog. I have upwards of 100 projects in various stages of incompletion or total abandonment, so you may well find something of interest if you rummage about a bit. I concentrate on solo air and naval wargaming but other 'skirmishy' things quite often pop up out of nowhere, only to disappear again after something else grabs my attention. I even finish the occasional project now and again!

And now for something completely different...
I've been watching The Mandalorian on Disney+, as my son decided to get a subscription, so thought I'd have a go at painting some Imperial Scout Troopers for Star Wars Legion. I'd given all my Star Wars Legion stuff to the lad, so had a clean slate to go out and pick some new figures, settling on the Scout Trooper expansion pack. I did have a couple of speeder bikes in my original stash, so I may well pinch them back to round off the squad, with the aim of eventually playing some games with the offspring. He's been busy painting up his Star Wars Legion Clone Wars and 40K Tau figures, so I'm going to have to encourage him to paint some rebel scum instead!

May the Fourth Be With You!
I haven't played any games recently due to work and family commitments, but my eldest son has been actively working away at his 40K and Star Wars Legion projects, so was able to set up a socially distanced game of the latter with a mate last weekend. This wasn't 'proper' Star Wars but the Clone Wars version, with the clones supplied by his friend but the droids painted by him, using a speed painting approach to get them on to the table. He actually prefers the original Star Wars and has a good array of models to paint up in the near future, which is great as I'd really like to have a go too. I think he did a pretty good painting job on the droids to start with, so hopefully he'll do some stormtroopers and rebels next time?
