Argentinian Armoured Cruisers

 






I have four of these Garibaldi class armoured cruisers on the painting table at the moment and I'm trying to think of ways in which to differentiate them, the basic white and buff scheme being pretty much identical. Answers on a postcard?

    I'd go for funnel bands. None for the 1st ship; one on the fore funnel for the 2nd; one on each for the 3rd; finally two on the fore funnel and one on the rear for the 4th.

    I have sometimes painted the decks of ships of the same class in different shades of gray/brown to represent new/old or more or less scrubbed wood.

    I just put the names on the bases.

    But the suggestions here sound visually cooler.
