A bit of blocking in completed on the French 3rd Rate 80's tonight, as well as the 110 gun Second Rate flagship. I used Army Painter Skeleton Bone to block in the sails, following the method I developed for my Victorian broadside ironclads. The other second rate is the 98 gun HMS Glory, which I have included as a painting test piece for the Royal Navy ships. This stage always seems to take ages as it's quite fiddly and needs a steady hand to avoid over painting the spars and masts.
