I've been gathering together the bits for a 15mm Republican Mixed Brigade and now have most of the infantry and artillery sorted. In the army lists there is a reconnaissance unit of either an armoured car or two cavalry stands, so I decided to go for the vehicular option.
After shopping around, I've ordered a BA-6 and an FAI armoured car from QRF, so that I can swap them around. I did also order a Zvezda BA-10 before realising it wasn't in service until 1939, so may convert it into the Spanish knock off equivalent, the Blindado BC. It won't look exactly the same but I don't think anyone will notice!
The BA-10s are close enough for government work. I use them. And the QRF models too, I think. Can't remember now - bought them at a show, I think.
ReplyDeleteI now have the QRF model but I'm going to pinch the turret to stick on the Zvezda BA10. The QRF hull will get a spare turret from an old Peter Pig R35 which is close enough to the one on the Blindado after I do a bit of trimming.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the kit made is Spain it doesn't look mass produced. Each unit (including the tanks) seem to be hand made. A bit of variation is fine in my book.
