The smaller size of the 1/144th scale aircraft means that the flight stands that the club use for the WW1 version of Knights of the Sky, will be too over sized and difficult to attach the models to. As a result, I suggested using smaller, pen sized magnetic pick up tools instead, attached to laser cut mdf hexagonal bases from Warbases. The sample pens arrived in the post this morning and I had a go at blue tacking the Airfix MiG-21 on top to see if it works. And it does. That's one problem solved, assuming my sandwich method of hex bases construction also works, so I can crack on with the Jet Knights of the Sky rules draft in the knowledge that there's a functional basing system!
Ohh now those may be the solution I need for my WW1 dog fight game. Where did you find them please?
