Here's the finished gold mine headframe ready for the Warfare show next weekend. I've added a bit of clutter but have left off the chain winding gear as I couldn't make it dangle effectively, which is the same old story. Anyway, enough of the double entendre and on to the final phase of building construction, the big and very scary Sarissa Precision bank kit, which I may or may not get finished by the end of the week. Arrrgh!
Lovely. Is it balsa or bass wood? I have been thinking about something like that for some time, but was thinking of doing a slightly larger terrain piece with miner's shacks and so forth. You know - project No 153 on the list.
ReplyDeleteAs I said on TMP a really excellent job! Brings back some great memories of some Boot Hill RPGing back in the day.
ReplyDeleteThanks...that's he sort of thing I was aiming for.
ReplyDeleteIt's bass wood as balsa does that funny shreddy thing. It's more expensive but much easier to cut and sand.
That is absolutely superb! I just love the rusting and abandoned clutter. Not heard of basswood before, so off to have a closer look.
ReplyDeleteConsider that idea stolen :)
ReplyDeleteThanks chaps
ReplyDelete:O)

ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed! It'll be a real eye catcher on your table.
